Sometimes you just know that mom or dad needs more help at home than you are able to give. Among the toughest decisions in life is the one you must make when the well-being of your loved one is being challenged and you know you need to seek a safer living environment.
Where do you start?
We have a brochure about assisted living called "Assisted Living: Seeking Help for your loved one." Click here and you can download and print out a series of helpful hints for selecting the right place for the one you love. And of course, we hope Willow Brook is right for you.
Willow Brook consistently receives perfect nursing scores on state inspections from the Ohio Department of Health and ranks among the top in the state for resident and patient satisfaction according to Ohio Department of Aging surveys.
In addition to compassionate, high-quality care, assisted living residents enjoy a robust schedule of social engagements and plentiful opportunities to interact with friends and family. As part of our Christian heritage, chaplains are available at every community.
Assisted living residents are charged an all-inclusive rate that includes:
Willow Brook offers a breadth of amenities such as fitness centers, libraries, hair salons, art and hobby studios, social activities, and outings. The only additional charges are for personal choice services such as the hair salon and massage therapy, and health care expenses such as medical supplies, medications, doctor fees, therapy, and temporary skilled nursing care.
Assisted living is not covered by Medicare or Medicaid, so most payments for assisted living are made privately. Medicare may in some circumstances cover some costs of therapy. The Veterans' Administration and many long-term care insurance plans include extended care.
Also, Willow Brook is a respite provider for SourcePoint and the Central Ohio Area Agency on Aging (COAAA). If you care for a parent or relative and need a break, for a vacation or to attend a family function, Willow Brook's respite care services might be helpful. Respite care for a week to a few months is often available.
