Willow Brook Christian Communities seeks an experienced Accounting Manager. Accounting Manager will lead and support Willow Brook Christian Communities and Affiliates in maintaining the accounting processes and systems. She/he will perform all accounting department functions assigned by Controller and support leaders with accounting/business needs pertaining to their departments. Manager will process for general accounting, fixed asset management, accounts payable, and cash management. Specific duties include verifying, reviewing, and at times preparing all balance sheet/statement of activities accounts, general journal entries including restricted donation entries, monthly bank reconciliations (including investment transactions), fixed assets, and accounts receivable/payable reports/invoices, and will ensure all are accurately recorded and reconciled. Additional duties include assisting with annual budget, statistic report/review, drafting financial statements, properly filing sales tax return/unclaimed funds, filing of IRS tax forms, filing Medicare and Medicaid forms and quarterly payroll tax returns/yearend tax returns. Accounting manager will also prepare documents for audits, grants and surveys, help manage various vendor accounts, participate in employee time recording system, and preparing payroll bi-weekly and quarterly payroll reports.
Qualified candidate should have Bachelor’s (preferred) or Associate’s degree (minimum required) with emphasis in finance and/or accounting or equivalent experience. CPA or CMA (Certified Management Accountant) designation preferable. Must possess excellent computer skills, be capable of successfully using and managing the various software programs utilized by Willow Brook, and have proven experience in closing monthly financial statements. Hours are primarily weekdays working a dayshift schedule, with ability to work some flexible hours including limited weekends.
