Delaware, Ohio - Aug 21, 2018
Are you or someone you love grappling with the loss of a spouse? Do you want to learn more about how to help those who are widowed? Please join us for the Widowhood Workshop on Sept. 11, 2018 from 1:30 p.m-5 p.m. at Willow Brook at Delaware Run, 100 Delaware Crossing West in Delaware.
The workshop is free and open to the public. Topics include: Life, Love & Loss; God’s Perspective about Widowhood; and a Personal Perspective about Widowhood, followed by an open discussion.
The workshop will be led by Dean Miller, who has preached for over 40 years, 33 of which were with the Hartville Church of Christ in Hartville, Ohio. He now works with the Maury City Church of Christ in Maury City, Tennessee.
Miller was married 41 years until his wife passed away in 2013. As he grieved, Miller realized the need for more discussion about widowhood -- what it is like, how to cope with it, how to serve those experiencing it and how to prepare for this stage of life. He has led many workshops around the country.
If you would like to attend, please RSVP to Dana Slingluff, Willow Brook chaplain, at dslingluff@willow-brook.org.
