New Dance Group - Folk Dance PDF Print Email

A new dance group has formed at Delaware Run!  Every Monday afternoon at 1:30 Mary Lea Bailey is leading Musical Moves, an hour of folk dance with steps from all over the world.  Must be fun – look at the faces on folks during what was only their second class!

The Alzheimer’s support group meets the second Thursday of each month at Delaware Run in the 3rd floor conference room. Friends and families are welcome to attend.

The Multiple Sclerosis support group meets the 1st Thursday of each month at Delaware Run in the assisted living lounge. Friends and families are welcome to attend.

Perkins Observatory Visit PDF Print Email

Fourteen brave Delaware Run residents endured the ugly weather for a trip to Perkins Observatory.  Although the cloud cover kept us from using the telescopes, we all came home wiser and humbler, from the lecture on the stars and galaxies above us, and a tour of the observatory and its rich history.

Veterans receive a Victory medal PDF Print Email

Residents of Willow Brook had a memorable evening at Valley Dale Ballroom in Columbus on Friday night.Veterans received a Victory medal
They were treated to a dinner and dance that replicated the Canteens attended by servicemen in the '40s before shipping out. Music was a 17 piece orchestra that recreated the Glenn Miller Band, accompanied by the “Andrews Sisters” for a few songs. NBC 4 was on hand to document the event, with Cabot Rea & Colleen Marshall as emcees. All Veterans received a Victory medal - and a great time!
