Willow
Brook at Delaware Run
Willow Brook at Delaware Run opened its doors in October of 2009and is now home to scores of retirees who are having a great time getting acquainted! Only 1 apartments and 1 twin-single home are still available at Delaware Run, and some floor plans are even acquiring waiting lists.
Delaware Run flows through Willow Brook at Delaware Run, and with the return of leaves to the trees a walk along the nature trail beside it is a lovely experience. Come see it, on the north side of Route 36/West William Street, in Delaware, Ohio, and while you're here, stop in to talk to Carol or Becky about retirement living at Willow Brook.
The doors to the assisted living and memory care centers are also open. The memory care center is nearly full, and folks are already calling our assisted living center home. In both, the care staff are becoming a second family.
In addition, the Delaware Run campus includes a wellness center, fitness center, studio, library, The Water's Edge Restaurant, banquet rooms, a bank and ATM, and more. Come see us!
Resident interest determines activities:
The folks who live at Delaware Run are an eclectic group with a wide range of interests. In a few weeks they will head for the Lake Erie shores for their annual birding adventure. They are also preparing for the AOPHA art and writing contest, a high-level competition in which they always show well, and several concerts are on the docket. Then there's the weekly card game night, the monthly potluck dinner, the omelet bar, and Sunday brunch buffet.
And if you want to add something to the mix, we'll help you get it going. Just talk to Jim Bartha, our Life Enrichment Coordinator and you'll find a receptive audience.

Resident interest determines activities:
The folks who live at Delaware Run tend to be the creative types - or married to someone who is! Among the activities planned by and for the residents are:
- A lecture/music series about Franz Lehar's operetta, "The Merry Widow" let by "arm chair expert" Norm Weston. He shares his hobby on Thursday evenings in January, providing a delightful blend of gaiety, schmaltz, and glorious music of the operetta.
- Another resident, Bill McCartney has been a leading force behind the annual Martin Luther King Breakfast at Ohio Wesleyan University for many years and is the master of ceremonies.
- Dee Seebode, a retired art professor, is planning art exhibits featuring our residents. The wood carvings of Don Dillemuth, featuring gnomes, santas and more, are on display in the library.
- In addition to weekly and monthly activities such as ladies' luncheons, men's lunch, coffee klatches, pot luck dinners, movie nights, and trips to attend area offerings, some of the more ordinary activities are also a part of the fabric of life at Delaware Run: bridge, euchre, and game nights are just a few examples.
- The DRRA, Delaware Run Residents Association, is an active, dynamic organization made up of independent living residents at Delaware Run.
